Your generator has to be parallel-capable. Or this will not work. That needs to be emphasized. You can't just plug together 2 generators. The sine waves will not sync and you will risk injury. The guy in this vid just casually brushes past that fact.

Pool stains are caused by metals in the water that have bonded to the pool surface. In this case, it’s iron. The ascorbic acid causes the iron to release from the surface. However, the iron is still in the water, so if you leave it as is the iron will eventually rebond and stain the surface again. A few things that you should do to prevent that: 1) After you have added the ascorbic acid, add a sequestering agent to the water. I personally use Jack’s Magic (there are several types depending on the type of pool you have). A sequestering agent will bond with the iron that you have released from the pool surface to prevent it from reattaching and staining the surface again. 2) Additionally, after you have added the ascorbic acid and sequestering agent, you can add a CuLator metal eliminator into pool pump’s filter basket (not the pool’s filter). The CuLator will act like a sponge and absorb the metals from the pool water. After a few months you can throw the CuLator away.

I have the same unit and I'm trying to fix it. The fan turns on and then slows down and turns off. Can this be the rectifiers or the capacitors? I bought it. Used transformer. It's in excellent condition. Just want to ask you a question. Like I said, it came with a small fan on it that wasn't the original one so I replaced it with an original one. The fan goes on and then after a while it turns itself off and then when I turn it off and the fan starts to run again. Almost like it's discharging the low from the capacitors. Hi Greg, I'm curious where you got your EXB modules from. eBay? They were a lot cheaper when I was into this stuff years ago and shops were fire saleing those boards!

Overpriced nowadays. 10yrs ago they were reasonable. Prices of all of the add ons like the rain, wind sensor, 10yr frame and canvas warranty are ridiculous.

You have to adjust your band spread (dial to the left of the big green half-moon dial) in order to adjust some of those sounds that you start hearing on a frequency of different band. You were picking up some code on one frequency band, but it needed adjusting on the band spread to get it to sound like something other than distortion.

Thank you so much for sharing this video! Although my problem was in the brake system, it was a little different than this but I was able to identify my issue with your video! I had just purchased my LA105 and the brake/clutch barely moved and was SUPER hard to push. Come to find out, after watching your video and looking at mine, the spring was not attached properly and was allowing the entire brake mechanism to fall towards the inside of the mower instead of keeping it flush. Anyway, I now have the ability to push in my brake/clutch system as it should! Thank you sooo much!!!

Many commenting here assuming these stains are from iron. Has that been established as a fact? It looks like a biological stain to me.

All sextants have an index correction. When you line up the horizon across the mirrored and straight view, even the high quality sextants will have some number to add or subtract due to the mirrors being out of parallel. Harbor freight is probably off by more than davis and higher quality instruments, but in principle the mirror parallel has no actual impact since it's a constant correction. It doesn't look like it has screws to correct for side errors in the mirror alignment, that would be my concern in the mirrors. The key to accuracy is in the micrometer drum, that's where this actually becomes a costume/display piece. Basically, you're right that this would have no navigational use, just for the wrong (though reasonable) reason. For any aspiring navigator, building a bris sextant can be done at this price point and you can learn some optics in the process. Or go for a Davis plastic sextant- they feel cheap, but their results are solid.
